I am officially a DOG!

Well, I am no longer a puppy, I am a DOG! My first birthday was a very exciting time. My parents brought me on a special birthday vacation to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. We stayed at a campground full of free blueberry treats and hiked all through the mountains. Dad only had to pick me up twice, I was very sure footed. I was allowed in the outdoor restaurants in Bar Harbor and I was very grown up and did not jump on anyone while they were eating. I now lay down when there are food treats, in anticipation of getting something good!

Since I am now grown up, this is going to be my last entry. Mom decided that we are just too busy doing things like traveling, going to the dog park, swimming and playing with my 50 or so toys to
continue the blog.

I hope you have enjoyed watching me grow up!

My Life at Sea

I've been quite busy since the sun came out- Dad introduced me to the sea. Well, really it is just a lake, but it's still great fun!

I have learned how to swim and I found this cool toy that someone left for me to play with. It got me interested in the water!

And, I've played sailor on Grandma Julie's boat. I love to sit at the bow and look for sea creatures. So far, all I've spotted is other dogs on the docks, but I am going to spot a sea monster, or at the very least, a duck, one of these days!

Who cares if the cat hates me? LIFE IS GOOD!

I'm starting to grow up!...I can now jump up at the living room window, and up onto the bed- and I can be left alone for a full three seconds without eating a foreign object. Don't get me wrong, I still love to play, just a little calmer, a bit lazier.

But the cat still hates me. I got downstairs last week, and she ran and hid. Mom could not find her. She was in the laundry bin! I really don't want to hurt her, just sniff her a little...and maybe give her a lick.

Dad brings me to the dog park almost every day now, and I've made lots of new friends. I'll post photos soon. I wish I could bring Kitty to the dog park and introduce her around, but for some reason, my parents think it's a bad idea.

play date!

A couple of Saturdays ago, I had a wonderful play date with my friends Emma and Tucker. They came over for a visit and we really had fun running around in the yard, chasing toys, and jumping on the furniture! Emma was a little shy at first but I think she got used to my crazy ways. Tucker was a very good leader and tried to keep us all in line.

Oh, ya- Mom got to visit with her friends Jessie,
Beth and Madeline, too! It was a great day for us all.

I love Dad

As you can see, I have been far too busy to add to my blog- I've had so much to do- playing with all of my toys, going to puppy play group, driving around town with Mom and Dad- it just never ends. Here, you can see me experiencing a rare moment of relaxation with my Dad on the couch. either Dad is shrinking or I am getting a lot bigger!

Post- Santa snooze

Boy, opening all of those gifts from all that admire me sure was tiring! It was nice of Mom and Dad to clean up around the tree so that I could have a nice place to take a nap.

HAPPY NEW YEAR to all my fans!
